The Mad Cat Inn (Rebrand Project)

The Mad Can Inn (Rebrand Project)
The Mad Cat Inn, a traditional Pub located in Piddly, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, this was a rebrand project. The client wanted a new brand identity with a new menu design that would complement the new identity of the pub.

The objective of the rebranding for The Mad Cat Inn, was to bring all the essence that the pub offers to its customers, which is a vibrant and friendly staff atmosphere.

I drew inspiration for the colour scheme from a photograph that, I took of the pub. As a result, I chose the colours Burgundy red, autumn green, and cloudy grey. These colours further accentuate the pubs vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

After sketching different iterations for the new brand, I went with a simple logotype using, two different fonts called Abril Fatface, and Six Hands, the two fonts complement the overall design of the new brand identity.

The overall objective of the menu design was to design a menu that is easy on the eyes for the reader to read, the research came from looking at different newspaper design layouts.
